Ginormica would probably wear something innocent, like a dancer, a cheerleader or an angel. It just seems in her nature. Or if Dreamworks tries to appeal to the male demographic, Catwoman.
B.O.B....Cowboy. Not sure. It's just child-like and that's how I see him.
Dr. Cockroach...some kind of hell demon to scare little kids. MWAHAHAHAHAHA!
Link...a ninja.
Insectosaurus, due to budget restraints, will wear a single sheet upon the top of the head and be called a ghost. She won't know the difference if you go along with it, so shh.
Edit (10/22/09): Well, they most likelyly aren't dressing. But Susan was almost going to be a zombie cheerleader. Haha.

CATWOMAN? Which kind? There was two different film versions of Catwoman that feature a different costume. One with Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry. Black leather would look good on Susan...if she wanted to show off, but that could be too sexist for Dreamworks to use.

It's not as though she was never in a tight outfit before. And one she was put into while she was knocked out. Haha.

Yes but it's not revealing thank goodness cause Dr. Cockroach and Link wouldn't stop staring at her hot outfit if there was something in there to be shown. Me and my yucky mind. I'm so gross LOL!

I'm worried.
Very worried.
I don't know how well it will do, but the situation reminds me of another film. A film that was a big success, very popular, and then did a promotional special for a certain holiday.
A promotional special that the creator, even after three ghastly mockeries of the original work that he was proud of, refused to acknowledge.
Does anyone else here know about the collective mind-scar on our popular culture that is the Star Wars Holiday Special?

Oh, god, as soon as I read that, I knew where you were going with that... O.o Now I'M scared, too...
But remember, while Star Wars and Christmas go together like toothpaste and orange juice... An MvA Halloween special would be... Monsters (Halloween staple) fighting aliens (another Halloween staple). Seems like a fairly safe bet. It could suck; I'm not denying that... In fact... I'm EXPECTING it to be campy and dorky and filled with obvious jokes. Hopefully, it'll be a fun ride despite that.

I'm no Star Wars fan, but when did they ever had a holiday special of their own? I can't imagine that at all. It sounds too....unoriginal. Everyone knows Star Wars takes place in space and it always will, but to be celebrating a traditional holiday known to man every single year since the year of time in outer space?! That just won't cut it.

It wasn't a christmas special. Technically it was a "life day" special. It was a mix of reused footage, Harvey Lamount, really crappy cartoon interludes, and grade-Z variety show type entertainment with the Life Day celebration of Chewbacca's family to link it all. BTW, Chewbacca's family consists of his wife Mallah, his son Lumpy, and his father Itchy. It's rather horrifying. If you feel like having the world melt around you, your sanity stripped away like infant skin in martian sandstorm, and all the hope crushed out of you, here's the link to a youtube posting of the Star Wars Holiday Special: www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCNGjKnTzaQ BTW, since when were aliens a traditional part of halloween?

Aliens are generally lumped into the category of 'monster'. The only difference really is their planet of origin. Monsters tend to be horrible things living on Earth, while aliens come from the sky. So, yeah. Halloween is kinda their holiday as well. Ever notice that a lot of kids will dress up as aliens? Oh, and how could there ever be a Simpson's Halloween episode without those two green aliens (I know one of them is Kodos, can't remember the other...)? Answer: there can't.
Like other people have said, there is no guarantee that this won't be mere stock humor and plotlines. We all expect it to some degree. If the original team is behind the development, I expect there to be some subtle (and some not so subtle) homages to Halloween specials of yesteryear.
Even if it is bad, it doesn't detract from the movie's strengths. Just like Star Wars' "Christmas" special didn't detract from episodes 4-6 (I'm still waiting for 1-3, no way in hell those were meant to be taken serious). They are still well done movies with good characterization.

I've never actually seen the Star Wars special. I'm aware of it, but... I think I'll probably live my life without seeing it. I don't want to have to go through some horrible Lovecraftian mental dissolve or anything after submitting it to my innocent eyes.
Good point. I mean, the Great Pumpkin jokes probably just write themselves... (By the way, I'm calling that. So if/when it happens, I can shout at the screen, "I called that! Back in May!")
The camp element is intrinsic. Hopefully, HOPEFULLY the writing will be at the same skill level of the movie.
The visual element... *cringes a bit* Probably mot so much...

By Great Pumpkin, do you mean Charlie Brown's Halloween special? Otherwise, I would have no idea what you mean.

Yeah, I am referencing Charlie Brown. So chic, I know. ^__^
It's frickin' MUTANT PUMPKINS! FROM OUTER SPACE! *flails* The camp geek in me is so happy at the thought.

IMDb says this project won't be out until 2010. I mean, IMDb isn't completely reliable, but it could probably be true. D: www.imdb.com/title/tt1482967/
