One of my short stories got accepted by a literary magazine.
A PAYING literary magazine. D8
That pays the contributing authors.
With money!
I'm gonna get 5% of the net profit from the issue with my work in it. ^_^
I'm glad my story got accepted. The money is nice, but more importantly it is a symbol. It says "We liked your story so much, we are willing to pay you for the privilege of distributing it."
Now that I've been accepted by a paying magazine, I've got something more to put on my cover letters, and my future submissions to magazines are more likely to get accepted.
