Wow, just finished watching B.O.B.'s Big Break, the deleted scenes, and the director's commentary (YES, I am a nerd). 'Twas fun, though the director's commentary was a little more boring than I expected (there were a few little deleted scenes that they discussed that were interesting and created some plot-bunnies, but most of it was a bunch of in-jokes, which is fine, of course, but not quite what I was expecting). My reviews on the deleted scenes: First scene: Heh heh. This had a few good jokes (like Cockroach's odds joke), but ultimately I'm glad they cut it out, because it turned a character defining moment for Link and the others into another comedy routine. Which was fine, but Insectosaurus had just DIED, and to have something this funny happen so soon cheapened her death, and cheapened Link, Cockroach, Monger and B.O.B.'s character. They really did come off as the three stooges of the movie in this scene (Ginormica gets all the emotional, character building moments, and the boys get the quirky off-beat silly character building moments. Disproportionate, much?) Second scene: I'm fairly certain that if this scene was included in the movie, the whole third act would have been COMPLETELY different. That said, I liked it, in part because I wondered how the movie would end up different. But nothing much to comment here. Third scene: Really more of a deleted B.O.B. line that was actually very funny, and very B.O.B.-like, but it was understandable that they cut it out. Still funny.

Oooh you review the deleted scenes Nobility? Very good job! I like the first and third deleted scene more. (and we saw a shirtless hairy Monger with a...uhh what was it? A tattoo on his chest? Gross ) but the part where Link was having his sad moment about Insectosaurs' death was very touching and moving to me. The second deleted scene? Ehhhh...it was a pretty let down moment for me. I'm glad it had to be taken out, but I wish they had some commentaries from the directors to tell us why they had to be deleted instead of saving that in the commentary. On to the DVD, yeah I bought mine today after school and I couldn't get enough of the bonus features. I was most found on the karaoke more because it was so cool! And the 3D game was great too, but it's a little bit scary having the ball come right at you when you get an answer right.

LoL, thanks! ^_^ I guess another reason I didn't care for the first scene was because of the drawing. It was very crude and gritty-like, probably scribbled in a hurry, and kind of unappealing. Plus the characters' proportions would out of whack all the time. Now, it's a storyboard, so that might come across as being picky, but I dunno. Plus Monger and Link sounded WEIRD. Still fun, though.
And like I said, I like the alternate turn-of-events the second scene provided, but that's about it. Some neat lines from the President, and some nice character development on Monger's part, but mostly forgettable.

I got the movie on DVD the day it came out and I got the Widescreen format. Although, I didn't get the one with B.O.B.'s Big Break, because I already recorded it on Nickelodeon.
Also, I made a fanfic from it after seeing it on Nickelodeon and it's called "Aftermath Torment." It's really cool. It's at ff.net, if anyone wants to see it. I promise you, it's totally funny, you'll ROTFLSH (roll on the floor laughing so hard).
