If you guys have bought the B.O.B.'s Big Break double DVD pack that goes with the movie (mine was $22 when I got it at Target today.) You will notice that besides watching the short in 2-D or 3-D choice, they have some cool stuff for bonus features. (there's not too many as I thought there would be.) My favorite would have to be the karaoke one. (And who doesn't love singing? )
Which comes to my conclusion I thought I like to share with all of you craze MVA fans ;D
When you go to the click away on the karaoke party on the DVD, you'll see everyone playing cards on the table (that includes Susan and Dr. Cockroach too, but Susan is just laying on her stomach to play with them. Didn't expect to think that she be into that. ) And guess who wins of course? Link! Then BOB tells him if he's up for a round of karaoke. (He didn't look that much happy when he annouced it to him in his face.) And then that's where you come to choose which one of those monsters you want to sing along with. (The funny thing about it is when you go to choosing, they show Ginormica's giant pair of legs and not her face lol)
If you pick Ginormica aka Susan, she sings I Will Survive (everybody knows that song don't they? Of course they would. It's an oldie but goodie!) And if you pick B.O.B. he does More than A Woman. I don't know who the real singer behind it was, but all I know that it's an old version. (I'll only heard the one by Aaliyah, not the kind that BOB has on his, it's why I don't really know that song too well.) And last but not least, you got Dr. Cockroach and The Missing Link doing a duet singing Born to Be Wild (The best one ever!)
My favorite would have to be watching Link and Dr. C doing Born to be Wild. I don't know where they came up with the idea of having those two doing a duet together, but it was fun to watch. Now the styles you see while doing the karaoke with the monsters are fun, but there are some small disapointments that caught my eyes while watching and singing them.
The first thing part I wasn't too proud of was the singing. It's not to be taken for the faint of heart, the monsters were good but I'm talking about the songs behind them. If you don't understand what I'm talking about, lemmie explain. When you're watching Susan doing I Will Survive, it's really hard to hear that she's really singing cause the true artist was a little more louder than her, so it's kinda sounds kinda like an echo. The second other disapointing and this one is true in my opinon, is B.O.B.'s lack of singing. He didn't sang ANYTHING! Nada! Not even half a lyric! He was too busy looking at the Jello lovely and kissing it.
B.O.B.'s karaoke side was more disapointing than the others (you can't really say for sure if Seth Rogen does sing or not, but I think they were trying to let B.O.B. be B.O.B......and his jello too.) And the last one.....Link and doc. I didn't know what to expect from the duet truthfully because we've seen Dr. Cockroach get down on the dance floor before during a dance off competition with the super computer inside of Gallaxhar's ship during the movie, but singing? You'll never know what Dr. Cockroach will do again to suprise his fans now a days.
Poor Link thought he was too macho to do singing LOL! Now again, yes their duet was really great, but like Susan's, it was hard to hear them singing that well, but it wasn't because of the real artist Steppenwolf.
It may be because that they were both singing together, I couldn't really hear too good on a seperate piece of note. Link was a little louder than the doc's part during the song, and honestly....I think their voices were replace with sound a likes and not the real Hugh Laurie and Will Arnett half way. (Hugh's sang before if you go to Youtube and try to find a song called Mystery. It's really beautiful.)
Those were all of the bad notes I have put down, now the good thing are the dance moves. What I like on be half of Susan's song was you get to see her dance on cars skates. (You know...the same ones she used in the movie.) Her dancing remind me of those performers dress up as Disney Characters in the Disney on Ice show. And what was more different was the effects. Very awesome! She look like she was really into that song a lot. And now B.O.B. and Jello....hmmmm, I don't know what I could count in as good part besides the cute romance part. Uhhh ohh I know! Shaking his butt twice on the screen. That was really funny ROFL!
I haven't forgot about the good parts in the Link and Cockroach's performing duo. It didn't take that long for Link to get into the music because Cockroach made him too XDD Did I also mention there was dancing? You can't have dancing without any music in it haha. I couldn't keep my grin down because what they did spark my brain a lot such as pressing theirselves back to back and smiling (EWW! Did that sound trashy? I'm sorry. XP) and the tap foot movements. (Link's feet look like they were having a seizure LMAO!) You'll also see Dr. Cockroach riding on top of Link's back like a bullet machine. (I'll say it one more time. EWW! X3) They were all still very fun to watch.
All and all, I give half of it 8 out of a 10 and the rest of them a 9 out of a 10. I could change my mind and change it to a 10 and a 10 again if I want to.
