I just learned that Dreamworks isn't going to make a sequel! times 30 million. They did great but Jeffery said that their marketing foils in different parts of the world would make the sequel be like pushing a boulder up a hill! It's true. Go to MvA wikipedia and look under sequel where their is a quote by Jeffery saying that their isn't going to be a sequel.

Yeah that just means a movie. That doesn't mean a Tv show won't work.

I know but, the movie was what started this awesomeness! Hearing that a sequel isn't going to be made to an awesome movie isn't good for the heart! Sure, they're making a tv show but if the movie wasn't such a success they wouldn't be making a tv show.

Who knows! When Invader Zim was cancelled they didn't show the episodes that were finished until 2006 while other countries had seen the episodes long before that.

Land Before Time 2 through 3457863487652987.... Nuff said.
Sequels aren't always a good thing. In this case, I think a series is actually better. The team is now a squad of superheroes. They don't need long drawn out plots to be effective anymore. Weekly episodes allow them to keep on having adventures.

Yeah. Your right. Though, I'd would've still liked to see a sequel just because. Hopefully they won't cancel the show.

Agreed with Blackboxx. As far as we know, the series is still happening, especially with the success of the Halloween special. Who knows, maybe if the TV series does really well, Dreamworks might reconsider (or at least agree to a made-for-TV-movie).

Dreamworks is releasing a Penguins of Madagascar direct-to-DVD movie this year, the first for Dreamworks since Joseph: King of Dreams way back in 2000. So that does give hope for a possible MvA direct-to-video adventure for the TV series.
