If it's a baby monster, I either go with Gil or Drake.

Well, it would help to know exactly what the baby's... monstrosity is. Is it an anthropomorphic creature? Is it mostly human with an extra power? What makes it a monster?
I can probably come up with a good name with a little more info. I know I usually dislike when names reflect upon a character's personality, but if there is an obvious trait after which a child can be named, I'm ok with that. Like, being born a monster. A girl born with horns or something (send a get-well card to momma after THAT birth) could be named Ivory, or Cera (horn in Latin). It's easy to see these traits, and choose a name based on them. I know you're looking for a boy name. That was just an example.
It's when a character is named something like "Cloud Strife" who ends up being an emotional wreck that I can't stand. How did their parents know they would end up like that?! Trait then name, not name then trait. Chronologically, it makes no sense. However, if the name does not match the personality (Edge Maverick of Star Ocean infamy is one of the weakest, whiny, and insecure characters ever to star in a video game and is neither edgey nor a maverick), I actually find it to be more realistic. Plus, the parents just look like pretentious morons, which is always good for a laugh. The name still sucks though.
