Lol! I agree. Just to be off topic for the minute but, do you like Dr. C.'s original design or his now-movie design. (I got the ART BOOK! I got 3 days ago! WOOT! Just to let you know). I personally like Dr. C.'s original look better, you know, when he had the bug eyes and sharp teeth. That was so awesome I could't help but to draw it and now I can't stop drawing that verison.

Well, I finally finished Tales of the Abyss for the fourth time. That means I got around to playing Beyond Good and Evil. Holy cow, is that game awesome! The music perfectly highlights the action scenes, as well as the overall ambiance. I just love the fast paced drum beats during battles, and the gentle piano when sailing in your hovercraft. Excellent music indeed.

Lol. You should try out MediEvil's OST. Really good and what not. It's on youtube. Favorite Examples: Boss Fight Music, Dan's crypt, The Ant Caves, and Cemetery Hill. And yay for you Blackboxx!

Yay for me? Wherefore and why? I just sat on my tushie and played a video game... But thanks!
Looking back at the songs we've posted so far, I noticed I completely forgot to share some Celtic. Well, here's one of my favorites;
There's other versions of this song, but this one has the best balance of pace, instruments, and arrangement (in my opinion at least). Overall, it just reminds me of a far off fantasy world, of which I'm always appreciative.
And then, there's the woman who wins my vote for "World's Most Beautiful Voice"; Loreena Mckennitt. My favorite has to be her musical rendition of a celtic poem called The Bonny Swans. It's a story about jealousy, betrayal and justice (and some creepy choices of material for a harp...). And the music is absolutely amazing. Without further ado:

Hooo crap... Been extremely busy as of late. Haven't had time to post. Tomorrow will be even busier... But who cares? I'm here now.
Those songs are cool. I really like the images that go with the Alien Music. Are those photoshopped?
And just to update the list, here's a song I heard for the first time while listening to some alternative satellite radio:
Quiet Little Voices, by We Were Promised Jetpacks. It's just so catchy. I don't care If I don't know the lyrics by heart, it's just so fun to sing "quiet little voices! quiet little voices! Oh oooooo-oo-oo! Oh oooooo-oo-oo! Oh ooooo-oo-oo! Oh oo-oo-oo-oo!"
Then there's this groovy little track from the ending of Borderlands (awesome game in case anyone was wondering, and usually hate FPS games);

I know. Borderlands was just such a surprise to me. Like I said, I HATE first-person-shooter games (Halo, Call of Duty, Medal of Honor), but this game was incredibly addictive. The music was awesome (as you can tell from the end theme), the combat was thrilling, the world was engrossing, and the weapon collecting was satisfying.
But, time for more music. Monsterfan, since you like Banjo Kazooie, I thought I'd share a little hybrid music here. Have you played Donkey Kong Country? It was a game also made by Rare. Well, one of the more fan-loved tracks from the series got a remake by my favorite video game musician (did the Wild ARMs song I posted earlier). The song was featured in Smash Bros. Brawl on the Wii. This is Stickerbrush Symphony remade by Michiko Naruke:
You can hear the ambiance that DKC was known for, and then the wild west instrumentation. I can't get enough of the song.
I like that Celldweller track there. It sounds like another song I've heard. Firestarter (Empirion mix) by the Prodigy:

Couple reasons.
1- My twitch responses are very random. Sometimes I can react perfectly, sometimes I get stupefied at the first sign of commotion.
2- I don't have that ability to discern the best hiding spots. Meaning I don't hide very well, and I can't predict where my opponent is.
3- Never liked games where I can be killed in a split second.
4- I don't really like competing. I love co-op play though, so I'm more willing to play splitscreen campaign modes.
But Borderlands added enough stuff to make it fun. First, character choice. I don't particularly like the hardened military brutes we seem to get so often in FPS games. Border let you pick from four characters. Three of them were nothing more than stereotypes; big dumb, chick, and black dude. The fourth was by far my favorite. A lanky sniper with a goatee and a pet hawk who loves making snarky comments. While the big dumb usually says stuff like "MIIIIIIINE" (item drop), the woman says "You shall fear my power" (level up), the black dude goes "Critical, b**atch" (critical hit), the sniper says stuff like "Let me guess. You want me to share, eh? *quiet chuckle*" (item drop), "Someone's gettin' a treat (pet hawk scores a kill)", and "What?... Didn't like that? (critical hit)".
Plus, it had a standard RPG skill tree to customize your character when you level up. Then there's the weapons. Even within the same weapon class, there are different styles. For instance, there are powerful, high zoom, high accuracy snipers with low magazine size, and slow rate of fire. Then there are average power, high rate of fire, medium zoom, high magazine size snipers. And for revolvers, there is a type called a masher which is like a hybrid between a shotgun, and a revolver. They spray many weaker bullets as opposed to a single powerful bullet.

I might try borderlands.What systems is it on? BTW Should we make a Video Games Thread?

I'd be all over a video game thread... Literally. I would be every other post. VGs are my favorite pastime, so I have a LOT to say on the matter.
But to answer your question, Borderlands is on the XBox360 and the PC. Just try to hate Mordecai if you get around to playing it. I dare you.
