I don't care very much about George Lucas work (I pretty much hate anything that's related to Star Wars) but I'm more of a fan of Walt Disney and Tim Burton's works. To me, they're both gods!

They're good, yes, but I wouldn't say any of them are my favorites.
By far, that honor would go to Hayao Miyazaki (Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, Ponyo). I just love the art style he uses, and the sheer creative creature design.
Then, I'd have to say Sam Raimi (Evil Dead series,) for his use of slapstick in the horror genre.
At the very bottom (I know it's off topic, but it needs to be said) is Uwe Boll for all of his craptastic video game movies. Following close behind is Michael Bay for ruining my favorite childhood TV series with unnecessary robot anatomy, stupid ideas like robot heaven, and making the story more about humans than the frikkin Transformers! BURN BURN BURN!!!!!!!.... Sorry. I get carried away when people crap on the things I like.

Well, when the original creator passes on, they leave very big, oddly shaped shoes that no one can really fit into. But yes, Henson was amazingly creative. I look back on the original Muppet Show, and it's still comedic gold (Swedish Chef and the "skibbur", a.k.a. spaghetti). Family friendly, AND hilarious. Yet he still had a mind for serious stories like The Dark Crystal, and Song of the Rain Forest.
Jim Henson continues to be missed.
The problem I have is Bay, and Boll are still very much alive and kicking. Not that I wish them dead, but STOP MAKING MOVIES FOR @%#$ SAKE!!!
