Hope it turns out good for ya. To me, it just seems like the owl bit is a gimmick. I mean, think about it. That's what drew my attention to it, but I quickly disregarded it to look at the big picture (cuz it was an IMAX screen lolz). If the characters were human, would there be anything about the movie that could sell it? I don't think so.
It just sounds like a cliche story. Culture has legends of kick ass warriors. Culture lives at peace. One day, culture is threatened. Headstrong boy with wild imagination goes to seek the legendary warriors while the rest of the culture tells him it's a waste of effort and they don't exist. But... substitute 'culture' for 'herd of owls', and BANG! Something new.
Thats just my take on it. Like I said, hope it turns out good. Personally, I'll be looking forward to Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.

It's based on a book I heard that was a best seller, now I know how cliche it sounds but I really wanna see these owls battle.I think I may be seeing it just because It looks so realistic.

I think it doesn't look too promising. Nothing in the trailer engaged me, and the dialogue sounded terrible.

I wanna see it! It's from the same studio who did Happy Feet so that's good! And that guy who came in Across the Universe and 21 is doing the voice for that owl too. Nice!

I actually quite liked this movie.
It was a very interesting story, although the story of the book was "compressed" for the sake of the movie.
Mind you, I did some research on the movie afterwards.
For a movie set in Australia, most of the owls are actually not native to our country. Most of them are american. Only 3 are native to this county.
It's odd that Animal logic, who is an Australia company would do something like that.
But I guess it was a creative necessity, seeing as we have so few owl species, they had to get others to fill the roles, so to speak.
