Okay, maybe not a monkey's uncle, but I am an uncle now. Just yesterday, my sister-in-law gave birth to the most adorable little girl! Talk about a Mother's day gift that no one will ever be able to top...
Momma was extremely feisty during a 22 hour delivery. It came close to a C section, but she told the doctor where to stuff the scalpel, and pulled through. Both she and the baby are doing well.
They (baby's parents) even let me hold her, and oh my GOD is she hairy!... Not in a bad way, mind you. I've seen babies born with some hair, but hers is an inch long straight out of the womb. We can just tell she's going to be a cutie.
I just wanted to share. I know this kind of thing is typical for a father to announce, but it's a first amongst my siblings. We're all incredibly stoked. I can't even imagine how momma and dada are feeling.

I'll assume you mean that to be directed towards my brother. But thanks all the same. Of course, this means I won't be on quite as often. They (parents) need to focus on little sweet pea, so the rest of the family is pitching in fpr the rest. My duty is cooking dinner whenever I'm available. Don't worry though. I'll still be around.

LOL! The baby was born a hairy? I have never heard about that before! That's funny!
But it's all so sweet at the same time! Congrats on becoming the new uncle! You got yourself a niece! YAY!

This is a bump to let people know that: A) I'm still alive and well. and B) The little munchkin is likewise. She's getting noticeably bigger, and more energetic, and most importantly, SHE CAN SMILE! As in 'at me'... and her parents I suppose... If that means anything... She certainly is a gassy little thing as well. Some of the farts she makes can put full-grown adults to shame. It's only a matter of time before she finds this funny. God help us all when that happens .
