It's only natural that gods and monsters go together. Mythology has tales of superhuman heroes and terrifying beasts, both sired from some elemental forces of creation. Gods, imonsters, demons, and heroes, sometimes you can't tell them apart without a map.
That's why I ask you, good people of this forum, to help me out with a little light heresy. What would the characters of MvA be like as personified deities, complete with their own divine portfolios, clergy, and dogma?
I can see Susan as a Nephilim or a Titan, possibly a mortal hero ascended to divine rank a la Herakles.
Insectosaurus could have some island tribe worshipping her as a planetary protector from evil beings, a la Mothera. She might even have some kind of harvest and fertility aspect.

So you're asking us to like give the monsters a god they're most like?

Why do you think that is?
I think Triton or Dagon would fit more, given his fishy disposition.

I'll just do the Greek ones.
Susan as Artemis, goddess of the moon. White hair, man. Link as Poseidon, god of the sea. Or, considering the couple of references to his beer drinking, Dionysus. Dr. Cockroach as Apollo. Becuse that guy watches over writing or something. B.O.B. as Demeter, goddess of corn BECAUSE IT JUST MAKES SENSE.

The fit for Link is very good alright.
I couldn't find the god you meant for Susan tho. .-.
I could see Susan as an avatar of the Hindu goddess Durga, an invincible figure who destroys evil and was formed to combat a demon king that no man could slay.
