I'm a casual-to-hardcore gamer but I haven't made the jump to PS4 or Xbox One. I just haven't felt excited enough about any of the games. Titanfall looks good but I'm not the type to buy a console for 1 game.

That won't be me. I'm still on PS3.
However, I'd suggest not XBOX One, because of the bad reviews I've heard from friends.

I'm still on PS3.
Since console games I enjoy enough to justify buying the linked console are incredibly rare, I don't purchase newer PS units until the old one is no longer useful.
I don't recommend xBox either, but that's more to do with their unethical business practices then anything else.
While I don't use one myself, I've seen enough of what they do to realize they're being as unpleasant to the competition as possible and manipulating customers in a underhanded manner a lot.
