I'm not sure how well it would've worked. You know how people petition and create campaigns to get their favorite tv shows back or a sequel to their favorite film? Well I was going to put some serious time, effort and money into creating a campaign for MVA 2. But I couldn't find enough people to who cared. I think Facebook has two groups, one has only 2 members and isn't active while another has 8 with some members using alt accounts and it's of course inactive. And then there is this place. It's the only forum I could find and I'm one of only 3 people who post here. I'm giving up on the campaign unless anyone here can think of any ideas to get more people behind the idea.

Buddy, the true reason why MvA is so dead is because Dreamworks didn't promote it enough, or even care on it at all.
As I see it, their main purposes are to make new series or promote others, a little bit more successful, like Kung Fu Panda, Shrek (really, a Shrek 5???) and How to Train your Dragon (I mean, 2 hasn't come out yet, and they already announced the third part).
Plus, we stupid Europeans simply didn't care about the movie at all. To tell the truth, no one I know had ever heard of the three short films, the Pumpkins, the Carrots and B.O.B.'s Big Break. It's just not advertised in Europe. No, nothing at all.

Trust me, it has obsessed me, the fact that MvA 2 won't be coming out. But, with this so poor fan pool, it is just a waste of time to do care

A thought, maybe there are more people then we know about who care, but don't overtly show it. I know there are people who don't really get into the internet.
But generally, I'm thinking it's fandom manipulation, by downplaying MvA, they're making the other franchises appear to be more popular. As I keep saying, I'm not opposed to How to Train your Dragon getting it's dues, but the others, well, they don't deserve it! Kung Fu Panda I'm not sure about whether or not it's worthwhile, i'm on the fence on that issue.
As an aside, I'm wondering if things like Megamind or the Croods ever get revisited? Or is Dreamwork satisfied with just making a one shot movie and then tosses them aside?

I'm not sure about the Croods. The Croods, to me, are a good movie, which doesn't really need a sequel, though Dreamworks is on the run to make one. It all has to do with keeping family together and always look to the future with hope. Their story was generally complete in the end, although it left a small gap to me (can't explain it). About Megamind, I'd love to see a sequel, for sure. I mean, even the short film wasn't that much about anything. Plus, it's only one, and not the finest it could be. Now sure it all has to do with crowd manipulation on fans from Dreamworks.
