So, anyone know why Susan didn't appear at all at this short film?
I mean, sure the carrots were too tiny compared to her size and most of the video took place inside the Murphy house, but still I believe she should make even a small signature appearance.

Who did the voice of Susan for the shorts?
Maybe they couldn't get the actress to appear.
Given that she has a different voice actress in the series makes that the most likely explanation.
I guess they all can't be like Tia Carrere.
To explain, she was contracted to appear in Lilo and Stitch as a once off movie.
But when it expanded into a full fledged series, she kept on doing the role, even though she was under no legal obligation to do so and hadn't expected a consistent role to develop out of that movie.

Who did the voice of Susan for the shorts? In Mutant Pumpkins from Outer Space, just like in the Movie, Reese Witherspoon voiced Susan. And I must say she's awesome. Now, about the series and the Carrot short, perhaps the writers decided to do so. I don't think Witherspoon would be negative on returning to another short for the franchise. I mean, For example, I'd love, LOVE to see a Christmas or a Valentine special or anything, just a new special for Monsters VS Aliens, since sequels are off schedule right now (as Katzenberg claims). Now, as you know Susan is almost my favourite character in MvA (with Cockroach first thanks to Laurie's impression). So It's normal I'd just notice the fact that she was completely absent in two of the three shorts. It's just I'd like to know why. |

It could also be work commitments.
Reese is foremost a movie actress, so while she has the time to fit in voiceovers for shorts, I'd guess that her primary career doesn't give her the time to be a full time series actress.

Yeah, that's right. I've thought o that myself. However, I mean to say it's a true pity, because Riki Lindhome didn't just make me feel ''good'' around the series Susan. |
