It could happen, especially after Penguins of Madagascar. Most animated action shows right now seem to draw heavy inspiration from Japanese cartoons, so it would be nice seeing one that was inspired by Mad Magazine. ;) Edit: I just now realized I should edit this post for the news: Nickelodeon has ordered a pilot for an MvA series!

Oh, yeah... I agree about the inexplicable suffusion of anime style. It's getting all kinds of old.
We had long, intense discussions about this on the FFN boards, and a TV show could be the awesomeness. The monsters could be a alien/other monster/miscellenious threat defense force, there could be a couple recurring villains, wacky adventures could be had and life lessons could be taught.... The thought of it makes me so happy!
I'd so love it to still be 3D. Obviously, the sophisication would take a dip, but a 2D translation would be a huge diappointment for me... I'm finally starting to learn to like this wave-of-the-future animation style. Really, PoM is the groundbreaker here, and I hope it paves the way for MvA: The Series.
(And how many other movies in the past have gotten their own TV show? If Osmosis Jones can do it, why can't MvA?)

A TV show for Monsters Vs. Aliens? That's not a bad idea but...the trouble part I find is that they would need to find a good cast to replace the orginal ones because I know they pay the real cast a lot of good money for lending their voices in the film, but the trouble with television shows that are based on movies is that you gotta come up with an extra great plot to make the episodes running long or else it just wouldn't be good.
I would love to see a TV show for the movie, that might work out well better than the sequels we've kept talking about. All though...Hugh Laurie and Rainn Wilson do come from popular TV shows of their own. So they might be the only two orginal cast people that I can see returning back and no one does the voices better than the real ones. But...there's just one problem. Gallaxhar DID got blown up in the ship during the end of the movie, so....by that, I would say they could still bring Rainn Wilson back if they can, but give him a new character to play for the show if it's possible.

Oh. Animated series are almost ALWAYS done by soundalikes, unless the origional actors were dedicated voice actors (Patrick Warburton comes to mind... He's ususally the only one that crosses that gap, and he's in practically every animated movie and series on TV). I can't see them getting anyone BUT the possibility of Rainn. I have the feeling that he might do it just for the hell of it, being that he's made of awesome, and The Office is, like, his only serious gig (TT_TT Why Hollywood? Give him more credit!!!). And... don't say that about Gallaxhar! He could've lived! His escape pod could have sqeaked out in that little gap!! (I'm way too obsessed with Gall... But he's the best villian in recent memory!)
Ususally, USUSALLY soundalikes do a good job. I'm thinking of The Emperor's New School, and how the VAs were obviously NOT David Spade and John Goodman, but did a pretty good job and kept up the speech patterns and basic vocal style of the origionals.

It's possible he might live or not, that's the trouble I find for Gallaxhar after he's defeat in the movie. The Emperor's New School did come to mind yes, but David Spade was the only cast member that didn't return during the two seasons of the show and John Goodman joined during the last minute when the show was still going. It would be cool if Patrick Warburton did join the casting for a Monsters Vs. Aliens TV show. I wouldn't doubt that! Think of all the crazy experiments we can see Dr. Cockroach doing during the show. MUWHAHAHAAHA! ROFL X3

I want Gall to liiiiive! And return! And flirt more with his computer! (Oops, said that one aloud...)
Patrick Warburton is always pure WIN. I can see him being the voice of all the Area 5X goons.
Ooh, yeah, the Doc's inventions would HAVE to be a recurring gag/major plot device to defeat antagonists. And probably create a few antagonists. Yay, mad science!

Weird idea, but you just gave me the thought of Gallaxhar becoming the good guy. That would ruin his image that would make me go WHAT THE FLAGNOG?! X3
OH MY GOD! Gallaxhar becoming good? Then whose gonna be the REAL villian? I'm picturing B.O.B. annoying him at his very move and then SHOOT HIM! Hail Gallaxhar XP

...No. Gallaxhar cannot be good. I won't stand for it. However... In the hypothetical series in my brain wherein Gallaxhar is a recurring threat (C'mon, he's gonna be so pissy and vindictive towards Earth, and I'd love to see him keep trying to attack and destroy the planet with NO supplies and weapons other than his escape pod and whatever he can scrounge up in terms of space junk and stolen human tech), I want the episode where ANOTHER alien tries to invade Earth and he teams up with the monsters to destroy that threat because he already has dibs on Earth.
Ala Invader Zim, I guess.
Damn, I'm getting my hopes up again...

Actually, John Goodman DID come back for the second season. :) So there might always be that chance of hope. Even Eartha Kitt herself had come back to do the series. I think it all depends on how willing the actors are to do it.

That's what I said to Mansion too, but Eartha Kitt passed away one month after The Emperor's New School was finish last year. I would of think they went longer but I think Eartha was sick or something when they were still going. The only time David Spade ever came back to play Kuzco again was in Kronk's New Groove.
OMG! I just had the idea of Gallaxhar crashing into an A&W! WHAT THE HECK?! XP

Actually, the voices in the video game was the same cast everyone expect whoever play Dr. C in the game was not Hugh Laurie.

Ah. The last few eps I watched of ENS were first season... I don't check my facts! *runs around in dizzy circles and falls over*
I still don't think they'd get Reese or Keifer to come back. Maybe some of the more comedy-based stars or ones that do a lot of TV work. It really is a grab-bag, though.
Anyway... To continue about the series that lives in my head... I think Gallaxhar will indeed pilot his escape pod around like a little hovercraft, but mostly he would stay in space whilst formulating his eeeeeeeEEEEVIL revenge. Like, having a bunch of space establishing shots that zoom in on him, searching out the McGuffin of the week to use against Earth. Also, he wouldn't crash it into towers... O.o He may be a buffoon, but he's not mentally deficient. Anyways, his sexy computer wife could fly it for him. (Is way too obessesed with G/C)
