Oh, didn't know that about the game... *shrugs* Like I said, a grab-bag.

LOL! Sexy computer wife XDD and you thought I was the one that reads Coolio's fanfics at night? I totally forgot about Keifer Sutherland cause he has a TV show too. Hmmm...well in my thoughts, Hugh, Rainn and Keifer are still busy with their shows and Reese and the others still have more movies to make. They're not gonna have time to spend their years working on a TV show unless they want to for the fans and kids.

I never said I DIDN'T read skeevy fics at night... They just don't give me nightmares... ^__^
Actually, The Office is really flexible about the cast doing other projects, and Rainn isn't a writer/actor like several of the cast members... He might be able to do it. I really hope so. Plus... He doesn't really do as many side projects as the rest of the cast. (Yeah, I'm an obsessive Office fan. What of it?)

Monsters vs. Aliens TV show- ME WANT. Me want BAD. And it's perfect fodder for an awesome TV show, anyway.
I will never understand how or why Osmosis Jones got a tv series, mainly because of how poorly it did in theaters. It only made like 14 million worldwide (compared to MvA which made 59 million in its opening weekend).

I'd so love it to still be 3D. Obviously, the sophisication would take a dip, but a 2D translation would be a huge diappointment for me... I'm finally starting to learn to like this wave-of-the-future animation style. Really, PoM is the groundbreaker here, and I hope it paves the way for MvA: The Series. As long as the CGI is able to make the action scenes look good, I'm all for a CGI action series! However, I'm not sure if TV-budgeted CGI would be able to handle a ton of action yet. So if a traditionally animated TV series means better room for action, then I'd also be all for it.

While the movie certainly had its EPIC action moments, there wasn't a lot of strenuous and expensive hand-to-hand fighting (unlike say, Kung Fu Panda), and with technology nowadays, they could still pull off some impressive feats in the television show, I believe.

I have to agree about the way the action is pulled off. A lot of it wasn't hand-to-hand... It was the awe of Ginormica being so ponderously HUGE that one swipe could take out a building... And some of the piviotal climactic scenes were more along the nitty-gritty "disabling the alien tech" lines. Even scaling down the technilogical refinement, the scope of the backgrounds, and the cinematic sense... If they could keep the sense of epicness for Ginormica and Insectosaurus, the show could maintain the level of "actiony" feeling we would expect.

I would go for a TV series, but I have conditions!!!
1. Get the original writers to contribute something. Gotta keep the characters intact. Ginormica is tough, but very friendly. Link is a showoff but can actually perform when needed (he never objects to taking orders, and actually does some pretty heroic stuff to save Ginormica), etc.
2. Hire professional VAs if you can't get the original voices. There are a LOT of talented VAs out there that get screwed out of movies to pull in big name celebrities, so don't screw them on the series please.
3. I don't mind either 3D or 2D. If going 2D, get designs from the original artists. They have some killer stuff in the Art Of MVA book. *I wish I could share some of it, but I don't really know how...)*
4. More monsters please! No explanation needed I hope.

^I'm planning on getting the artbook! I saw a few scans and I thought they were awesome!
Maybe there could be a series-exclusive monster? Or one that is able to elude government capture? That would be cool. :)

Gallaxhar's great and all, perfect for the main villain of the series (and they could SO bring him back), but a little variety goes a long way. Besides, it'd be so easy to come up with fun, new antagonists for the monsters...

2D? Why 2D? With the techology these days, it's impossible to take one computer animated movie and put it into a hand drawn animation television series. Look at Madagascar! Great animation, but the animation in the TV series is very poor and not well done. Too rough if you ask me.
Lots of cartoon shows that are based off movies always have the same style in animation, but it's always at the end that goes a little rough around the edges on most parts. Say like...Disney for example! They always have wonderful 2D animation in their movies for years, but if they make a sequel or a TV show for the orginal one, there's gonna be a different style with different colors to the picture.

It's all a question of money. I'm willing to sacrifice the visual spendor so long as a series would retain good characterization and plots. Oh, and I agree about the need for several recurring villains. And a rogue monster that evades capture would be an excellent touch. Great idea, aurum! it would be an excellent way to build a stronger supporting cast and without plunking "the new monster" into the team. I'd also like cameos/recurring jokes with Pesident Hathaway and Katie and Cuthbert. That would be fun...

Yeah, forgot to comment on Gallaxhar. He could have easily survived. He was in the escape pod when the ship blew up. It's plausible that it was designed to survive an explosion, and just got flung somewhere else on Earth. T
hen there's the possibility that a whole bunch of clones survived. As soon as they heard the computer counting down, they forgot about killing the monsters, and tried to escape themselves. Plus, they had hover-jet things. Why couldn't they take some and fly down to Earth's surface? You did see a bunch of clones make it out that door before Susan did. It led them directly outside.
Can you imagine the chaos that would ensue when there's no way to prove which Gallaxhar is the original? Lotta power struggles there, which could provide easy comedic potential.
Oh yeah, forgot #5. Continuous storyline!!! The best shows feature a long, well thought out story that makes room for character growth. I can't stand shows where everything ends at square-1. (ex: the heroes find a great treasure, but must sacrifice it in order to escape the temple, ending the characters in the exact same state as they started the episode). I want backstory! I want revelations! I want plot twists!
Anyone here watch Avatar: The Last Airbender? That was what I mean. There were some parts that really had nothing to do with the overall story, but in general, nothing made sense unless you watch from the beginning. The characters change, get stronger, learn new skills, solve personal problems, and start to get along much better by the end. It was good because it was planned that way. There was a clear beginning, with a goal for the ending: 3 seasons, 60 episodes, plot twists here, here, and here.

I don't think there's ever gonna be a sacrificing treasure idea plan out anytime sooner for Monsters Vs. Aliens Blackboxx. The idea about the movie was saving the earth from evil. If there was gonna be treasure for a series, Monger would just keep it to himself. He's greedy that way. Or...or....Link and Dr. C could be fighting over the treasure, they look greedy too if they got their monsters hands on shiny....pretty.....jewels and coins. Gallaxhar was in an escape pod? Really? Hmmm...I must of miss that part out when I was watching the movie. It doesn't look like to me he escaped before the ship went bye-bye.

He was trying to activate the escape pod in the end. We have no idea if it launched or not before the explosion, so there's enough ambiguity there to bring him back for a series/sequel.
