Okay, I'm done. I'm cool. Spazzing over for a little while. I can't believe BOTH of my TV series dreams came true within a week! I actually expressed my hope for both about a month ago on the Penguins of Madagascar IMDb boards last month. Thanks, Dreamworks and Nickelodeon for adding two new, most-likely awesome, action shows to television! :) Um, okay, lost my cool again! YES. YES. YES. Yes, I'll need that! |

I received the news that the voice of Mickey Mouse died on Monday and the news that there is a TV show announced that I have been looking forward to on the same day.
I'm so split between sadness and happiness.

I'm worried.
I'm very worried that the characters we know and love will get old fast, or turn into gross mischaracterizations, or just thin away into nothing under the overexposure of a TV series.
I'm worried that it will suck basically. =/ The awesomeness of the movie just sets us up for an even more disappointing TV series.

That's a legitimate fear. Honestly, I'm worried about the same thing. It would be nice to see a series actually stick to the roots of the movie, while adding to it (new monsters, aliens, plotlines, etc.). Unfortunately... I fear we're gonna get cheap humor consisting of, but not limited to; bodily functions, consumption of gross items as food, over-sized items ("HAHA! She's big so she needs a big toothbrush! HARHAR! It's funny!"), and stupid jock moments.
Please... Let there be a god to guide the new writers to see the true characters...
