...I love this ship. But as SOON as I start talking about it in general shipping threads, somebody switches the subject back to Dr. C/Susan. *bangs head off keyboard* So, this shall be the place to discuss the unsung ship of awesomess. No. Dr. C/Susan talk allowed. That can take place in, oh, THE REST OF THE ENTIRE MESSAGEBOARD. Personally, I think their banter would be epic, and I see them being able to keep up with each other. The mere concept of them meeting makes me giggle and go into snark nirvana. And seriously, Katie, why have you not kicked Cuthbert to the curb?  You're way too awesome for him! |

Whoops! I thought this topic was for Susan/Link. My bad!  Well this couple is clearly hard for me to agree or disagree since these two have never in counter one another unless there was an excuse how they meet, but I would leave that up to the fanfic writers. It sounds good, but I think you're also forgetting that Link is a ladies' man and we've seen how those three women at the end of the movie glomp him to death LOL! I think it would be really differcult for Link to be offically pair up with anyone including Susan and Katie because he's always flirting with every chick in the world. |

I think Katie (well, and Susan, too, for that matter) might actually garner his respect by not being a typical scream-and-faint kind of girl. So just because he's a shameless flirt doesn't mean he'd be unfaithful to someone he considered to be on his level.

Honestly, I'm kind of meh on this ship. It makes sense, and I could see it happening if the two characters ever met, but I'm not OMG LURVE for this pairing. Partly because I don't find Katie a particularly interesting character (no offense, Katie fans!), but this couple is probably one of my favorite crack couples for the movie.

I'll be honest, it's not my NUMBER ONE OMG OTP!!! But I really like it, and it's so cracklicious. And really, really fun to write. So I wanna spread the love. And like I said, every discussion about pairings always goes back to they who shall not be named here... ^_^
Also, I AM a Katie fan ("It's just like dancing... And I'll lead..." God, what an awesome moment! The reverse cliche!), and Cuthbert (yes, her whiny BF) does not deserve her at all. (But part of that may be my John Krasinski hate showing through... *hisses*)

The trouble I find with this couple a lot expect for the one about them not interacting with each other is that Katie has a very small role in this movie, including her whimpy boyfriend so if Katie was ever to be planned on hooking up with Link, that might be a differcult shot for Cuthbert because there's not too many female leads or roles in this movie expect for Susan, her mother and some of the bridemaids in the movie...unless...someone were to have Cuthbert in a gay relationship with one of the monsters or even the General  |

Um, I don't CARE about Cuthbert and he doesn't have to date a canon character...?
I always assumed he'd go to college, graduate, become an accountant and marry someone else who'd have him totally wrapped around her little finger.

For a cracktastic pairing, I love Link/Katie so much. :3 It's gotta be all that wonderful snark. I wish I didn't have finals to study for so I could start on the chapter of my Link/Katie story where they actually start talking to each other. It promises to be very entertaining. ;D
(It's funny, having to write for Link made me like him a whole lot more when I saw the movie again. XD)

Oh yeah! Link is totally awesome! At first I didn't like it, but I think this pairing is starting to grow on me. It's so cracking!Especially after reading those awesome fanfics by Mansion and Go-Go Spiders. Way to go!!

It's all part of our evil plan to spread the ship... MUAHAHAHAHA!
But, yeah, in cases like this, it's better to show rather than tell. The whole point of crackpairings is to fic them, not discuss them (even though I like to keep wearing people down by making eloquent arguements about them ^__^).
And I really had just too much fun writing about the two of them and their spring break adventure. I'd written Link a little before that (my InvisoBill drabble, my contest fic, my creepy Dr. C/Susan epic), but I just fell in love with his characterization when writing him on his "rampage." And having Katie be a character that could keep up with him and hold her own (in the crazy situation and dialogue-wise) was so much fun. That's why I have to ship them. XD
And Link is certifiably awesome and I have to ship him with both Katie and Susan. *hugs very real Link plushie*

Not mind control... We're simply taking over the fandom at a grassroots level by creating quality fanfiction. FOR OUR EVIL PLAN! To... make more people ship them...? I dunno. Never said it was an ambitious evil plan.
Too true about the insta-love. I think we should make all the Dr. C fans have to write at least one Link one-shot so they can understand his glory and wonderment... XD
