Yeah, that is kind of annoying. I guess they want to make sure the kids know his full name or something.

Though I can tell you the game is loads of fun, even if the characters are a little... snarkier than necessary.

I've got vague plot-bunines for a few SusanxLink stories, but I've yet to actually write any of them, especially since I'm busy with the contest fic...

I guess. But it's such a mouthful. I don't blame the kids not knowing his full name. After awhile, hearing Dr. C say "The Missing Link" bugs my ears for some reason. XD

It looks like it, especially considering it's a movie game. Those tend to be terrible. But this one looks like it's good~ (And I loves me some snark, so I don't mind that. :3)

Oooh, definitely do some Susan/Link stories after the contest fic. FF.net is going overboard with Susan/Dr. C, and I'm feeling sorry for Link getting no giantess love. >:

I almost forgot there were some small minor Susan/Link moments in the video game. And yes, it can get pretty annoying when they just refer to him as The Missing Link only

^Yeah, they do that in the junior novel, too. I think it's easier to just say Link, lol.

Okay, the transcribed Link/Susan moments were LOVE! So, many thanks there, especially since I'm never going to play any of the games.

*grins mischeiviously* Iiiii've finally got a Susan/Link story. Some in-the-clink bonding and such. The thing that finally kicked my brain and said write was how in the pizza-box computer scene, Link delivers off the "Lemme guess; Fresno?" line in this really put-upon, overly familiar way. So I assumed that the two of them probably had a couple decent conversations over the course of the, what, month or so that she was there. And she rattles off all the stats of his past exploits at the gas station... *clasps hands* Them talking is cute!!!

They released the game to match the movie. Well, through the course of development, the movie made some pretty big changes. I guess it was too hard to change the game to be the exact same.

What changes were there? Well, for one, Susan was not the main character and was meant to be more of a vixen with her sarcastic attitude and risque apparel. The whole broken engagement was just a piece of back story rather than a key plot point. Actually, I think she got ticked off after the gas station moping, and that's why she was captured. But that last bit is just my speculation.

I thought this one was cool, but Gallaxhar was originally a cat woman. Once Susan became the main character, they wanted an evil female to balance her out. But, they decided to make the villain a man to represent Susan letting go of her past life. Did you notice how much Gallaxhar and Derek have in common? Both ego-centric (populating a planet entirely with your own clones? Yeesh!) and dim-witted. By openly defying Gallaxhar when they first meet, Susan truly embraces her monsterdom.

I just thought that stuff was cool.

Interesting points, blackboxx. I''m only semiaware of the previous incarnations of the plot and characters (for instance, I knew that the main baddie was origionally female, but not that she would have been a cat woman, though a sexy cat alien is almost as delightfully cliche as an ego-centric alien invader with muddled intentions for choosing Earth), but hopefully that will change once I get the art book.

The Gallaxhar-Derek parallel is a good point, too. Not one I immediately formulated, but I understand where you're coming from.

Actually, I got that info from the Art of book. It's quite nice. You will enjoy it. I promise you. A lot of the Susan art is especially good. I kinda wish we could see her wearing some of the stuff they came up with. In one, she's wearing typical hardcore military girl stuff on the mother ship (khaki shorts, white tank top, dog tags, and combat boots), and a plethora of normal clothes. My favorite was some purple outfit. Can't really describe it. It was just cool.

Oh, and there's a great picture of BOB. Let's just say it involves a cow and a farmer (and a baby with a smoking shotgun...) and leave it at that. ;D

I'm really looking forward to reading some fanfictions that feature other coupling's besides Dr. C/Susan. The couple is cute and all, but it starts to get a little dull after reading so many. There definitely needs to be more Link/Susan. It really is an awesome couple! There are so many hints to it in the movie and apparently the game. I definitely want to read any new creations!

I do have some interesting stuff planned for my L/S fic, though, and I love writing Link, so hopefully that will keep me on course...
